Parties a plenty

It's been a hectic weekend with 4 parties and far too many ham sandwiches to mention - blogs on the various parties will be put up tomorrow - my heads fried from too much Katy Perry this weekend and kids in neon! Its great when everyone really embraces the whole pop star party vibe tho - well done everyone.

Rachel from Rugby has a real good Pop Star Party

Rachel was on a return visit for her 13th birthday with a load of new school friends. I remember she sang well before but she has improved a lot  and the singing lessons must have paid off. After the group song of Glad You Came from The Wanted her solo to Taylor Swifts Mine was very good. We all got a bit confused over whether it was Mean or Mine but we got there in the end!
Top party, well done everyone and look forward to seeing some of you again I'm sure.

Northampton 16 year olds arrive in style for their Pop Star Party

Rosie is crackers - fact!
Her mum is nuts, her sister Ellen is brave and her dad much, much braver.
Arriving in the stretch courtesy of Snobs Limos she rolled out dressed as Amy Winehouse with her 7 blinged up friends all in costumes.
We had Taylor Swift, Louis Tomlinson, Katy Perry, Cheryl(no Cole), Florence(no machine), Nikki Minaj and Christina Aguilera.

It's always great when people go the whole hog for their pop star party and really makes the event memorable. See you all soon for Ellens.
They sang Justin Bieber's As Long As You Love Me for the group song which took a while as its sooooo slow and Taylor Swifts You Belong To Me as a second group song which happened in no time at all - bizarre. Well done everyone hope you enjoy the photos and Louis you have my respect mate - you are the bravest hanging out with this lot!

Corby 9 year olds have pop star party

Amy brought her friends to the studio to have a One Direction party coupled with Nicki Minaj.
The group sang What makes You Beautiful and perhaps with the most ease yet for a group doing this. After the photo shoot (including more Mo impersonations of course) and the buffet was cleaned out (hungry kids these) we launched into Pound the Alarm - not easy but we found a way to cheat a bit and get a cool version down - well done Amy.

12 year olds from Kenilworth have top party

Megan chose What Makes You Beautiful as her group song which went very well after we worked out who was singing what and where - a great group with tons of crazy characters naming themselves Mad Direction. Not wanting to do a solo the group did Moves Like Jagger as second choice and this went really well - top stuff. Continuing the theme of Olympics impersonations here's a whole load of Bolt poses!! Nothing to do with Pop Stars but never mind!!!!

11 year olds from Leicestershire at Pop Star Party

Frances and her mates had a really fun party singing We Are Young by Fun - a tricky song with so many pace changes and vocal styles but we managed it - anyone wanting to try this needs to really practice it before hand - well done Frances and her solo of Someone Like You was great.

10 year olds from Kingsley school leamington enjoy Pop Star Party

Becky is from the Kingsley private school in Leamington and had a very cool party with us at Born in a Barn Studio arriving with her friends who had been invited with specially made tickets - a top idea.  The party focussed on Carly Rae Jepson's Call Me Maybe as both group song and solo both of which went very well - it was happy birthday we seemed to have trouble singing today!

After the singing we have a photo session usually in Pop Star Parade and this was different today as Becky had her own photographer to do the shoot but we did some of our own as well including some Olympics impressions inspired by Bolt and Mo! The star of the party had to be the cake tho - this cake should be preserved forever not eaten - amazing job!! Well done Becky - see you soon.

Birmingham 14 year olds have fun at Pop Star Party

Christi had a great party with us this week at Born in a Barn Studio to celebrate her 14th birthday. All the girls were completely unashamed of being non-singers but hey, they did a good job (after a little coaching) singing Summer of 69 as the group song. Most of all it we gad a lot of fun getting there!
After this came the photo session and so out came the make up and bling!

The solo went very well but Christi choosing a friend to sing with so we should call it a duet really. Fun was the word of this party and We Are Young (a popular choice at the mo) went quite well.

The smoke machine was of course abused by this lot and we could hardly see by the end - wicked party. Well done Christi.
